Central Jakarta Administration and Police Provide Vehicle Safekeeping Service

To assist residents traveling to their hometowns during Eid al-Fitr, the Central Jakarta City Administration and Central Jakarta Metro Police have prepared vehicle safekeeping facilities.

"...residents who want to leave their vehicles while returning to their hometowns by public transportation"

"Parking areas at 48 urban village offices, eight sub-district offices, and the Central Jakarta Mayor's Office are ready to be used by residents who want to leave their vehicles while returning to their hometowns by public transportation," said Central Jakarta Mayor Arifin on Monday (3/9).

Arifin also reminded Central Jakarta residents planning to celebrate Eid in their hometowns to report their plans to their respective neighborhood leaders (RT and RW).

"Please also make sure all electrical appliances in the house are turned off before leaving to prevent any unwanted incidents," he added.

The vehicle safekeeping facility is also provided by the Central Jakarta Metro Police. Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Senior Commissioner Reynold Hutagalung said residents traveling for Eid are welcome to leave their vehicles at eight police sector offices and the Central Jakarta Metro Police headquarters.

"I have instructed Binmas personnel to collect data on residents who plan to travel to their hometowns to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 2026," he noted.
